A program designed for ages 14 and up promoting Fitness, Flexibility and Strength
The Adult program focuses on skill development through rigorous training for both teens and adults and incorporates basic to advanced technique in traditional karate, including kata, sparring, self-defense and weapons training according to a detailed curriculum. Classes include a cardio focus with warm-up, stretching and warm-down, drills and practice. Okinawan weapons training includes instruction in the use of bo, sai, tekko, nunchaku and tonfa. Advancement is paced according to personal development and curriculum competence ensuring the student’s confidence and the tandem development of appropriate self-control.

The Studio is a place where art is developed - the martial art of Yoshukan Karate. It is an art that is made with hands and feet, balance, speed, force and focus. It teaches physical confidence and courage. Success is the result of hard work, sweat and dedication. Adults typically find they are capable of much more than they thought when they started, and find satisfaction as they work to improve their skills in a community of like-minded individuals.
